Self-Portrait Collages in Art 1
Art 1 did a great job on these self-portraits. Working from a picture that was posterized in Photoshop to separate the values of the face into distinct shapes as their template, students used patterned and hand made papers to create these fun self portraits! The results were really fun. Next year I might steer away from the handmade papers with fiber as they were really hard to cut with exacto knives for the smaller shapes!

Go Zoe! I love these!! What a great way to teach value!! I know it is hard dealing with the materials, interested in what kinds of papers you used. I think this is a great project!
